Behind the pencil

Born in 1985 in Milan.
He has followed a degree course in Industrial Design at the “Politecnico di Milano” and he graduated in 2010 with a Master’s Degree in Yacht Design.
Throughout his life he has cultivated a passion for the sea and naval design. He has always had the drive to develop and improve on a multitude of skills that will give him the knowledge and possibility to create safe, functional and esthetically pleasing products. Passionate about boats and photography, he has collaborated with different yacht design studios, he has engaged in crafting both sailing and motor boats, following design, construction on site and water tests. To stimulate his creativity, he moved to Verona in 2013, where he started collaborating with the Calzedonia Group as interior and furniture designer. Alessio designed and manufactured stores around the world, such as Milan, Rome, Paris, London, Tokyo, Shanghai and New York. Curious and creative, he follows product development, prototyping of the furnishings, decorations in shops and quality control of manufactured furniture. He also started freelance design collaborating with some designers and developing products for Miniforms, Fiam Italia, Lumen Center. He exhibited several projects at various international fairs, some of which have been published in major industry magazines. Today he collaborates with Shannon Sadler’s studio. Always looking for new materials and technologies, he loves travelling and getting to know different cultures, to enrich today’s and tomorrow’s projects.
